One day sober!

I’ve stopped coffee. Not one shot yesterday. I got a terrible headache, and toward the end of the day, I felt like throwing up. But I feel much better today.

My beautiful wife bought me some decaf this morning, so I’ll get some of the taste, but hopefully without the addiction.

Interestingly, I don’t lack energy or stress. I’m quite stressed by all the things I have to do actually. So why take coffee? My job isn’t boring… I have an exciting and difficult job and should have no trouble staying awake.

  1. I did the same thing a few years ago. Worked well for a while. I replaced my first cup of coffee in the morning by a cup of tea (I always liked tea so it was not a sacrifice). Nothing else during the day.

Six or seven months later, I took a cup of coffee. Almost the same thing than a cigarette. After one week, I was back to my old coffee habits.

However, I successfully quited smoking nine years ago. I suppose it’s better than nothing for my hearth and, thinking about it, I drink my glass of red wine almost every day.
